COGNITERRA is an independent nonprofit organization working on sustainable development issues in the wider Mediterranean. Founded in 2004 and based in Athens.
Our vision for the region
The development of societies to have their members sustainable access to food, clean water, to live above the poverty line freely and peacefully, to exchange the cultural elements and to become citizens of the world regardless of their age, nationality, sex, religion, cultural background or color of their skin.
Geographical area

Principles
Autonomy
COGNITERRA act independently of any local, national or international governmental or non governmental authority, body or organization and is completely financially independent.
Against Discrimination
COGNITERRA rejects any form of race discrimination, sex, nationality, religion, opinion or social origin.
Transparency
COGNITERRA is bound to respect its transparency policy towards its beneficiaries, partners and donors by making all information regarding the distribution and management of funding and sponsorship available to the public. The organization also provides guarantees for the proper management of the allocated funds.
